Trick or Treat!

Chewbacca, a pink flower and Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) hit the streets last night.
I bought the Chewy mask, but created the rest. The top was a shawl with fringe that I cut apart and sewed into a tunic with furry arms. He was especially in love with his tin foil bullets we made and the pouch for his candy.
For Ainsley, we just dug stuff out of her dress up box. She was excited because I let her wear "real" makeup and she got some hand-me-down pink sparkle shoes at church yesterday that would match her outfit.
Here's my chubby pink flower. Totally last minute creation. Ainsley was a chicky in an egg at this age, but I couldn't find the hat and Tessa didn't fit the chick shoes. So I sewed on some petals, put her in green pants for a stem, attached a daffodil to her cap and called her a flower. For sure, right?
What a long day we had yesterday! Why do I do this to myself?
Oh yeah, it's because it's fun.

Church, lunch with friends, block party, trick or treating, church carnival...Whew! I just thought I would show you what my kids were wearing this year.

  1. looks great! i'm totally digging the "just put together" costumes. i would never be any the wiser had you not spilled the beans. makes for way more fun huh!

  2. Your kids just keep getting cuter and cuter! LOVE their costumes!
