Spring Blossoms

I saw this lovely rustic table spread out under the trees for an old fashioned Southern wedding and thought it looked like the most delightful spot to sit and have tea with your best friends. I am thinking of tea parties lately and things such as that. I want to do a tea party for Ainsley and Tessa's birthday in June.

Here in Fresno, all the tree orchards are blooming. So I took the kids out on Saturday for a photo shoot under the trees.

Tess was just adorable in her little pink outfit that matched Ainsley. They both wore matching dusty pink petticoats. The trees were dripping with blooms and the petals were covering the ground like a carpet and floating down all around us. It was such an idyllic spot.

Incidently, I didn't tell Hunter to pose like this. He's a natural when I want to get pictures of him.
It's funny, but when I take pictures of my children, they are each their own thing so much. Their personalities just pop out. While one is wearing cute shoes from my shop, the older sissy decided she didn't want any shoes at all on and dumped them on the grass. Then she spent most of the time sitting in a chair picking grass and petals out of her toes.

This was my favorite shot of Hunter the day. I have posed ones of him in the chair, but I like this unposed one of him lolling in the grass so much better.
He was lolling around in the grass playing with Tessa on a blanket and tickling her under the chine with some grass. I have pictures of them laughing their heads off together, but I think I like this one where he is kissing her. It's so typical of their relationship. He just adores her and will entertain her for me for hours. At the same time, she adores him and plagues him by getting into and destroying all his little projects and games he sets up around the house.

Tess kept trying to get the chair to rock and was being a little escape artist. Which is tough when you are trying to back up to take a picture and KEEP her in the chair at the same time.
Just for Spring time I created some more peep toe shoes which Tess is modeling in the picture above and below. These have been on her last two days and seriously never fall off and have held up to her serious crawling. They are in shades of baby pink, green, and tangerine and seem to match pretty much everything in Tessa's closet, so they might just be my new favorite everyday shoes for her.
And just to follow up with a cute story from today:
Ainsley cannot reach the door handle on the front door and so rings the doorbell several times in a row when she wants back in until I answer it and open it for her. She was playing out front with Daddy and I had just laid Tessa down for her nap. I heard the doorbell ringing frantically and I was a little put out because I had just told her that I would keep the door cracked so that she wouldn't have to ring it. I went to the door to snap at her for making a ruckus just when I had put her sissy down. I jerked open the door and looked down into a grinning little face, pigtails were coming undone and she was sweaty from exertion. She looked up at me with the biggest smile and said, "I just want to tell you I love you soooo much, Mommy!"
"Did you need something?" I asked.
"No. I just wanted to telled you that." She said, and then was off playing again.

Well how can one resist that?
