Here in Fresno, all the tree orchards are blooming. So I took the kids out on Saturday for a photo shoot under the trees.

Tess was just adorable in her little pink outfit that matched Ainsley. They both wore matching dusty pink petticoats. The trees were dripping with blooms and the petals were covering the ground like a carpet and floating down all around us. It was such an idyllic spot.

Incidently, I didn't tell Hunter to pose like this. He's a natural when I want to get pictures of him.

It's funny, but when I take pictures of my children, they are each their own thing so much. Their personalities just pop out. While one is wearing cute shoes from my shop, the older sissy decided she didn't want any shoes at all on and dumped them on the grass. Then she spent most of the time sitting in a chair picking grass and petals out of her toes.

This was my favorite shot of Hunter the day. I have posed ones of him in the chair, but I like this unposed one of him lolling in the grass so much better.

He was lolling around in the grass playing with Tessa on a blanket and tickling her under the chine with some grass. I have pictures of them laughing their heads off together, but I think I like this one where he is kissing her. It's so typical of their relationship. He just adores her and will entertain her for me for hours. At the same time, she adores him and plagues him by getting into and destroying all his little projects and games he sets up around the house.
Tess kept trying to get the chair to rock and was being a little escape artist. Which is tough when you are trying to back up to take a picture and KEEP her in the chair at the same time.

And just to follow up with a cute story from today:
Ainsley cannot reach the door handle on the front door and so rings the doorbell several times in a row when she wants back in until I answer it and open it for her. She was playing out front with Daddy and I had just laid Tessa down for her nap. I heard the doorbell ringing frantically and I was a little put out because I had just told her that I would keep the door cracked so that she wouldn't have to ring it. I went to the door to snap at her for making a ruckus just when I had put her sissy down. I jerked open the door and looked down into a grinning little face, pigtails were coming undone and she was sweaty from exertion. She looked up at me with the biggest smile and said, "I just want to tell you I love you soooo much, Mommy!"
"Did you need something?" I asked.
"No. I just wanted to telled you that." She said, and then was off playing again.

Well how can one resist that?
You seriously have the most adorable kids, Jenny! I love these pictures! Especially the one of Hunter kissing Tessa--so sweet!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous background for photos! The blossoms are so pretty.
And I love Tessa's new shoes, and Ainsley's love-you story!
